Depart at 8:30 AM in a 4×4 Toyota, taking a one-hour off-road trail until reaching the first lagoons. Our first stop is Lagoa do Gavião, a beautiful and peaceful lagoon perfect for photos and a refreshing swim.
Afterwards, we continue toward the open sea, enjoying the impressive landscape that connects dunes, sky and ocean. Then, we head to the traditional village of Canto do Atins, home to the famous restaurants of Sr. Antônio, Dona Luzia, and Carminha (Ponta do Mangue). They serve delicious grilled shrimp, fresh fish, carne de sol and other regional dishes—an unforgettable culinary experience.
Next, we continue to the village of Atins, where we visit the stunning mouth of the Preguiça River, the magical meeting point between the river and the sea.
On the return journey, we explore even more lagoons of the Lençóis Maranhenses, including Lagoa das Sete Mulheres, Lagoa da Tropical, Lagoa do Kaite, among others—each with crystal-clear waters and breathtaking landscapes.
Around 4:00 PM, we depart from Atins, arriving back in the city at approximately 5:30 PM.
